Oberlin is a college town located about 30 miles west of Cleveland, Ohio. It played a great role during the Civil War by acting as a safe haven for runaway slaves and procuring their safe passage to Canada. It is the home of the famous Oberlin College. This was the first college to admit and women and people of all races
